RIP Lauren June Girten
It isnt fair that God had to take you from us. It isn't fair that you didnt get a chance at a longer life."God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not meant to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered "come with me" With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away. And although we love you deeply, we could not make you stay; Your golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest- God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best."
I saw you today, Lauren. You looked so beautiful and peaceful, just like you were sleeping. It was hard to walk past all of your softball things and not cry. You were just a normal kid, and then you were struck by cancer. You held on for so long, and because of that you are like a hero to me. I never really spoke that many words to you, but the fact that i knew you and was close to some of your family is really heart breaking. I know now that you are in a better place and are pain free. You are were you belong, in the arms of God. Rest In Peace Lauren, you will be missed.

Without a Voice
Without you I am no one.
Without you I feel disabled.
You make me who I am.
I wish I could find you again.
I look out and all I want to do is scream and shout at the top of my lounges.
Without you I can not express myself.
You give me purpose.
You give me life.
In moments of silence all I want to do is sing.
A life without music is like a child without happiness.
I wish I could fine you again.
Without you I can not laugh.
Without you I am forever lost.
I wish I could fine you again.
MY VOICE, I LOVE YOU
Without you I feel disabled.
You make me who I am.
I wish I could find you again.

The Dead Poet's Society
Carpe Diem, seize the day!
I loved this movie.Every word that was spoken was pure genius. The teacher actually cared about his students, and went out of his way to show them what poetry was really about. "O, Captain, My Captain" this is what the students would say when they addressed their teacher Mr. Keating. He taught them to look at the world in a new way. Mr. Keating would always go beyond what the school wanted him to do.
He introduced something so special to these group of boys. The dead poet's society allowed that group of guys to bond and to feel poetry flow through them like blood in their veins. The end of this movie sends chills up my spine, the way the class showed how much they loved their teacher. To show him that they knew it wasn't his fault. To show Mr. Keating that he meant something to them.

Dr.Seuss
-"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those
who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"
-"Today you are you, that is truer than true.
there is no one alive who is youer than you."
-"Don't cry because it is over, smile
because it happened."
-"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.
Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living,
It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end
of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables
you to laugh at life's realities."
-"I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.
An elephant's faithful, one hundred percent"
-"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful
lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
Softball Season
Finally, i get to start playing the sport i love the most.
It's like a drug just to be able to put on my uniform and step onto that field.
This year, we had some unfortunate things happen. Many people were beginning to get hurt, and some very ill. It really made me feel unsure about how well we will do this year, when we got the news that our #1 short-stop Chelsea had mono, and that she would not be able to practice with us until spring break. My jaw literally dropped when we got that news. Don't get me wrong, our other senior does a good job at trying to lead us. So I'm just going to keep telling myself:
"Somewhere behind the athlete you've become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back... play for her."
Mia Hamm
All i can do is pray, pray that we are able to come out of this season victorious!
it is all for the love of the game! <3

I miss youu
The day was January 5th, 2010....a.k.a. the worst day of the year thus far. This was the day you packed up all your things and went to base training, in Mississippi. At first, i was scared that i wouldn't get to see you again, but before you left our conversation was filled with promises of letters and phone calls. The thing is i wouldn't get any of these until march.
Believe it or not, i counted down and now that march is almost here it brings tears to my eyes. Every night i thought about you. i would say to myself, does he still feel the same way? I wondered if you were even the same guy I met 3 years ago.
Even though it will be September before i get to see you again, just the thought of hearing your voice gives me the chills. So every night i will be eagerly waiting by the phone, just waiting to hear you say I love you one more time.
