Trick or Treat

THIS IS ABSURD
Since when did everyone get too cool for trick or treating?

I parked my car near Even Steven's gas station and my best friend and I walked to the nearest neighborhood. When we were younger, I could remember trick or treating in the same neighborhood and we had to get out there early if we wanted to get any candy. This year was PATHETIC! The streets were dead.....we maybe saw 10 trick or treaters. What is this world coming to....where we can't dress up and go get free candy.  I think it is rather sad to be honest. I guess the bright side to this was that there was more candy for ME! (:

Fall

Fall brings change
The weather just begins to have a hint of cold air
The leaves become vibrant in rich hues of red, orange, and yellow
The shorts get put away and the sweat shirts get brought out
We can finally wear socks again
Celebrating Halloween and Thanksgiving
Getting prepared for sinus issues with the change in weather
Farmers start harvesting

Fall is filled with happiness and my favorite part is Thanksgiving and spending all that time with my family.

Something New

"Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes"
-- Oscar Wilde

Our parents are so afraid of letting us grow up. They fear the choices we make in life are going to be the wrong ones. Now is when they need to understand that without new experiences we will never fail. Their reasoning is that experiencing new things will lead to mistakes.  In the end this will be the reason for our failure. In ways this contradicts itself, but if you were to think about it....you would agree.
We learn from our mistakes....so if we never make them then how will we learn?
Trying new things isn't a mistake! It just means we are living life.

Childhood Phobias

Childhood phobias too many to count....
lightning
thunder
shadows and dark corners
heights and tight spaces....and most of all Clowns!

As I grow older I seem to realize that all the things that used to scare me seem so small. It has to do with understanding. Now I can understand where lightning and thunder comes from....now I know that there isn't always a bad monster in the shadows. The thing is .....I still have uncertainties and fears about tight spaces, heights, and Clowns. That is just apart of my childhood that will stick with me forever. No matter how many clowns I see...you can be sure that I will turn and walk in the other direction. I absolutely hate being in tight spaces from the fear of suffocation. Now heights, that is one thing I think I can handle.

Spring

Spring time is full of laughter and fun. Birds are chirping and flowers are blooming. It is finally warm enough to take off the winter coats. To me, spring time represents freedom and a new beginning. All of the animals are just waking up from a long winter nap. The sun shines longer and the days seem to go on forever. I love spring time. Playing outside till the sun goes down is what I enjoy most. Spring is a rainy and wet season....well this gives me a reason to break out the rain boots. Around this time I, as a senior, would be getting ready for graduation. Excitement is everywhere during this season. Ahhh Spring Time!!! I cant wait until you get here!
